Power-aware IoT based Smart Health Monitoring using Wireless Body Area Network

Abstract

Power management is a key requirement in WBAN as a large amount of data are communicated from individuals through IoT cloud. A power management controller for IoT-based Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) has been proposed in this article. Efficient power management can enhance the overall lifetime of WBAN architecture since battery capacity is limited. The proposed method is compared with the state of the art work and a detailed evaluation of the architecture is presented with overheads.
